High Street 2060

This project explored how the high street might look in a post capitalist future. Created using Modo and Adobe Suite.

The year is 2060, after warnings on climate change went unheeded the planet was plagued by droughts and crop failure across all continents. To protect the human race from mass starvation, all polluting activities were halted overnight, the production of all virgin materials was stopped and global supply chains were dismantled. The world was plunged into chaos. But out of this chaos, a new way of living has emerged. Shops, as the traditional emblems of consumer Capitalism have been reclaimed and reorganised as community spaces. Innovative machines have been created to allow participation and enjoyment of fashion as a leisure activity, and clothing is treasured as a symbol of self creation and expression.
