In 2018, I launched my own fashion brand whilst still working as a commercial designer. The aim was to create sustainable and ethically produced clothing for a customer looking for something unique, moving away from a focus on trend and instead designing timeless, high quality garments.
Drawing inspiration from sources such as Japanese kimonos, 70s glamour, and the Suffolk countryside of my youth, I aimed to conjure a sense of dreamy opulence with a modern twist. The prints are all designed by myself using a combination of sketching, watercolour, felt-tip and digital manipulation. These are then digitally printed to maintain their hand-drawn feel and bright, vibrant colours. The collection showcased here is called Daydreamer.
